The distance between the balls is approximately 4.5 cm.
Twist the bottom ball off the rod, add your beads, and screw the ball back on tightly.
You can easily remove the chain to attach the bar to something else. Originally these bars were intended to hang on the handle of a Stanley Cup (drinking cup), but you can use them for all kinds of purposes.
